Friendship

I forgot to post last night about what I'd learned yesterday so I decided to do it this morning. I'll just need to post twice today. ;)

Before I get started here, I want to make everything clear about where I stand. My best friend is Jesus Christ. My second best friend is my husband, Tim. My third best friend is the one you will read about below.

OK....what I learned yesterday is that there never seems to be enough time allowed to talk to everyone at church that you want to touch base with. I did make time to talk to my best friends last night and it was so life giving. It always is, though. I have one friend in particular that I enjoy so much that I get excited and anxious for the next time we'll be together. Her name is Cheryl and I consider her to be my best friend.

I was recently working on my scrapbook stuff and decided to create a special page for our friendship. I came across some stickers involving special sayings concerning friends and found the perfect one to describe how I felt about Cheryl.

It says "My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me."--Henry Ford

I've never experienced a friendship before that made me better for having been with that person, except for my husband, of course. ;) The best thing that ever happened in my friendship with Cheryl is when she made the decision to be baptized at church. I got so excited about her decision because I knew that it would make us closer. It would be a spiritual bonding between us and our friendship would then turn into sisterhood. So, she is my best friend and my sister in Jesus Christ.....for eternity!

Relationships are everything. The most important one is the relationship you have with Jesus Christ because you won't get into Heaven without it/Him. He is the ONLY way. Also, you really can't find a better friend than Him. People will always end up failing you but The Lord God will never fail you. Follow Him....not people.
